I know there is often discussion at this time of year about post-season surveys, so thought I’d share tis resource that just popped up on the REU-GEO list.

Christine Okochi (who is an education evaluator and researcher with CIRES) recently posted a fully validated survey instrument that can be administered anonymously from a common web site and adapted for use in your programs.

The Undergraduate Research Student Self-Assessment (URSSA) was developed with BIO REUs (I think NSF might even require it for BIO?). One of the nice features is that you can adapt it and use the question blocks you like that suit your program best. Here’s the link:
