Hi, I just found out about this list and I want to let the McMurdo LTER community know about my exhibition “Walking in Antarctica” at the Fairfield University Art Museum in Fairfield, CT. There are 33 photographs, many from the Dry Valleys LTER, and 4 sculptures made from 3D scans, two of the Canada Glacier from the Lake Hoare and Lake Fryxell sides and one is a ventifact above Lake Bonney. I stayed at the Lake Bonney and Lake Hoare field camps while a participant in the NSF Antarctic Artists and Writers Program in December 2015.
There will be a slide talk (5 pm ET) and the opening reception (6-8 pm) on Thursday, February 1 for my There are links online to register for both events (please register for each separately if you are planning to attend both). There will also be a livestream of the lecture if you want to watch from home.
Not able to come on opening night? The show runs through March 16. For more information about the exhibition, visiting the museum, or to register for other events being held in conjunction with the exhibition, including a family “Ice and Snow” hands on art making activity on February 24 and an “Art in Focus” conversation on March 14, visit the main exhibition page at Helen Glazer: Walking in Antarctica | Fairfield University, Connecticut
