Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve is a 5500 acre field station operated by the University of Minnesota’s College of Biological Sciences (CBS) and located in East Bethel, MN. Faculty, students and staff from the Cedar Creek LTER (CDR), multiple CBS departments, as well as other UMN Colleges and non-UMN institutions, conduct research at Cedar Creek. Other aspects of Cedar Creek’s mission include conservation, land management, education (both undergraduate and K-12) and community engagement. The Buildings and Grounds Supervisor is a key member of the station’s small permanent staff and is primarily responsible for overseeing and contributing directly to the daily and seasonal work of the Buildings and Grounds (B&G) team. This role also has duties including serving as the Site Safety Officer, the Designated Responsible Authority (vehicle supervisor), a Prescribed Burn Squad Boss, and liaison to campus counterparts and external vendors, contributing to land management, and supporting researchers onsite. More details and application information can be found here for external applicants and here for current U of M employees. Review will begin in June, with interviews anticipated in July and an anticipated start date in August 2024.
