Enabling DOE Regional Energy-Water Demonstrations

Water and energy are deeply connected, and climate change will impact the water-energy connection in many ways. The National Academies is seeking nominations for experts to participate in a new study that will explore these complex interconnections and recommend ways to bolster the design and success of the Department of Energy’s research interests in Regional Energy-Water Demonstrations.
Nominations are requested for individuals with expertise in areas and disciplines such as:
- Water resources (including quantity, quality, accessibility, cost, and safety)
- Electricity generation
- Industrial, residential, and agricultural water use
- Regional planning and policy
- Integrated modeling
