In July, NSF announced a new track in the coveted fellowship program: Biological Research, Understanding and Solutions for a Resilient Planet, which is a great fit for many LTER graduate students and aspiring postdocs.
Lots of LTER sites provide really good mentoring and collaborative research experiences for postdocs, but also, consider the opportunities that synthesis centers (NCEAS, ESIIL, Powell Center, etc.) can offer to an independent and motivated postdoc.
